For this edition of The List, in honor of rivalry week, we’re looking at the 10 best rivalries in college football. We winnowed the list to about 16, then cut it to 10 - and it was hard. Among the criteria: nastiness, history and – above all else – national importance.

I guess the UGA vs. GT game just hasn't had that much national importance. However, is the Army vs. Navy game that important nationally? That was rated number 4.
